MedMud

The real MedMud is written MEDMUD and means Mediterranian Mud-volcanoes.
It's a research-program that can be found here. I have no affiliation with the MEDMUD-project. Thought it was a nice name.

radioland/babylon

I started the Radioland/Babylon project for the Perfect World Project. R/B is about the international confusion of tongues, the best illustration of which is the sheer infinite stream of signals on shortwave radio. Initially, Radioland/Babylon will be a series of perfomances in which I will analyse and synthesise shortwave signals in real-time. I will be using a computer running AudioMulch and a number of hand-cranked hand-radios. The duration of these performances will be determined by the duration of the bateries on these radios.

Radioland/Babylon versie 001

This is version one of the Radioland/Babylon project. Performance of this version took place in the Onderbroek, Nijmegen, june 11 2005, for the ~Perfect World Project. Version one was done with one radio and is 14 minutes long.

A Sense Of Security

192 kb/s VBR MP3, 00:08:20
An angry drone, which for me expresses state of mind in the world today. "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security". The tendency is pretty clear, though.
Made with a guitar-sample, recorded 18 years ago, and AudioMulch.

975 Millibar

160 kb/s VBR MP3, 00:09:44
975 Millibar is dedicated to the people who had to endure hurricane Frances, september 2004. At it's peak, an airpressure of 975 millibar was measured in Frances' eye. The track was made by using databended images of maps of Frances' trajectory and treated recordings of NOAA's Hurricane Watch broadcasts. AudioMulch.

Rose

160 kb/s VBR MP3, 00:06:20
Made entirely in AudioMulch. I discovered the percussion-sounds while working on a test-project and decided to use them again. With Rose, I was analysing what makes a track tick. I reduced these elements to their barest essence.

This track has been made entirely in AudioMulch with samples which were made available by Fake, a KVRaudio regular. The samples were recorded in a park in Norfolk, spring 2004, on MiniDisc.
